This business is a ripoff. They charge 2-3X what the dealer charges for a given repair. I have the records to prove it. They are charming con artists, nothing more.
Here's the story: I knew that the brakes were not working properly. When University Foreign Car told me the the repairs would cost $1500, I asked them to tell me exactly they needed to repair (the specific parts), and how much the parts and labor would cost. I then called the dealer and told them what needed to be repaired, both the parts and the labor. The dealer told me that the parts would cost one-third of what U Foreign Car quoted. And the dealer told me the work on the car would cost *half* of the labor charge quoted by UFC. I called UFC back and double checked on what they intended to do, making sure I understood the repair. I had it right.
I then PICKED UP THE CAR FROM UFC, PAID THEM FOR THE ESTIMATE, WENT TO THE DEALER AND ENDED UP SAVING $700 DOLLARS ON THE REPAIR, even after you subtract the 50 bucks I paid to UFC. DON'T GO TO UNIVERSITY FOREIGN CAR. CALL ELSEWHERE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY.
