In a college town with an abundance of tanning salons, Rain or Shine stands out from the rest. Rain or Shine has been in business since 1992. They have many twenty minute regular beds as well as three super beds. A spray tan booth has just been added as well. For the money, I haven't found a tanning salon in Starkville with such fair tanning packages. Usually, they offer 20 visits for $39 or you can get an unlimited month for $34. Also a few months ago, for the customer convenience, they started a website for making appointments. This tanning salon also has a small store attached that sells necklaces, bracelets, earrings, purses, shoes, bathing suits and of course an extensive collection of tanning lotions. They even allow you to keep your lotion at their store, and have it out for you when you arrive for your appointment. Most of the time these items are a little expensive but they regularly have 50% off sales. If you are looking for a tanning salon with the newest beds that have all the latest technologies, this is not your place. However, if you are looking for a friendly atmosphere with staff who know you by name and often recognize your voice on the phone, great deals and a great tan, this is your place!
