For unknowable reasons, everyone seems to flock to Hickory Park. I have yet to see this restaurant not-crowded-to-overflowing and on busy weekends, you can expect a wait of an hour or more to get a table -even if you have reservations. Though Hickory Park is one of the best of the few places that gracefully accomodates LARGE groups in town, I'd avoid taking smaller groups. The food is decent, burgers being their specialty, but I've never been wowed by them. However, their soda fountain selections are whimsical and delicious -opt for a sundae that comes with a cookie, you won't be disappointed.
