Need a BBQ? Get it here. 7/15/2005

I recently bought a barbecue here and had a great shopping experience. Not only did they accept a competitor's coupon for 15% off, but they assembled the machine for free, and tossed in a bag of goodies (oven mitts, utensils, spices) for free. They have a huge selection of barbecues, with a concentration on the higher-end. I don't think a single one in their inventory cost less than $500, and most were > $750. I did some shopping around at Home Depot and the like, but was less than impressed with the sales staff and the inventory. My experience at HomeTown Hearth was the complete antithesis: the employees knew a ton about the machines and answered all of my questions. They weren't pushy at all, either, which was kind of surprising. The shop on 82nd is a tiny house that has been converted into a store. It's cramped and always busy, so if you purchase a BBQ and intend to have it assembled, prepare to kill a couple of hours while it's being done. They also fill propane tanks at a really good rate. Definitely check it out if you're in the market for a barbecue. more
