The Bagel Place is the best place to go in the morning if your work anywhere along Route 1 near the University of Maryland and you don't buy into the atkins breakfast nonsense. Their bagels and muffins are fresh and hot and available in a wide variety of flavors.
At lunch time there are sandwich options including the best whitefish salad outside of the New York/New Jersey area.
DC is distinctly lacking in good bagel places, and it is a relief to find this one in the middle of sometimes sleepy College Park.
