My sister-in-law recently had a hysterectomy at Swedish Hospital. When I arrived there for a visit, she had been out of recovery for 5 hours and had been throwing up the entire time. Orders had been given for nausea medication and a nurse still had not arrived to administer it. Her IV had been out for an hour and still nothing had been done. Because of the excessive vomiting, she later had to return to the emergency room with a serious infection. I am appalled at the terrible treatment of my sister-in-law and I would never return there.
