This is a review of Betterton Beach. I have been to Betterton Beach a few times. Every time has been a nice experience. Betterton Beach is just that, a beach. It is maintained by the town of Betterton, MD. When you arrive, there is plenty of free parking. As you walk towards the beach from the parking lot, there is a grassy area with plenty of trees and picnic tables. Then you get to the beach. It is a small public beach and it is usually not very crowded. It is very family oriented and everyone I've met has been very friendly!
There is a small pavillion area. I don't know if you have to rent or reserve it ahead or not but the times I've been there, it has not been used by anyone. There is also a bath house that is open to the public.
There is no food concessions (except for the possible visit by the ice cream truck!) at Betterton Beach. Packing a picnic lunch is a fun time for everyone!
This is a nice beach to go to if you like to enjoy fun in the sun without all the craziness and commercialism of many of the popular beach spots!
