My husband and I set up an account here not long after we were married. Everything was going well at first but then we had to have several dealings with the staff and we found that the staff was quite rude.
We opened an account for our son, but when he hit 12 he started a lawn mowing weekend job and wanted to take more control of his money. I asked if they offered debit cards for kids his age and the person on the phone laughed at me. I explained to her that my son takes several high school classes and had a very good grasp on money and after she insulted me a couple of times we ended the conversation. I called back and requested the form to remove my son's money that day and we moved him over to BECU. He's had his debit card for almost a year now and is still managing his money very well. He is definitely a saver, not a spender.
My husband and I still have an account because our Visa is through SMCU, but as soon as we close our Visa account we are moving the rest of our money to a new credit union.
I added one star to my original one star because at least the bank is clean.
