My husband and I just moved to Swartz Creek in June, and have been slowly trying to check out the local restaurants. We went to Sam's a few weeks ago, and were pleasantly suprised. There is nothing fancy about this restaurant, but they have excellant homemade italian food. Our very friendly, down-to-earth server told us that "Mrs. Sam" (Sam's widow), still comes to the restaurant every morning to make all of the sauces from scratch! Our server also told us that at trip to Sam's is not the same without ordering their signature "Samaritos", which are REALLY good seasoned bread bites served with their homemade spaghetti sauce for dipping.
Overall, our Sam's experience was great. I will definately visit Sam's again in the future.
