I was originally very opposed to getting Time Warner Cable. They were the only cable provider in the area, so they could charge whatever they wanted. The monopoly really drove up the prices. The Dish revolution has helped matters somewhat, and now cable is a little cheaper. If you get one digital receiver, the rest of your TVs get free basic cable. I have been happy with it since I got it.
