The Ka'anapali Beach Hotel came highly recommended to us, so we were a little disappointed when we realized that we were put in a room in the old wing of the hotel (Molokai wing) while other areas were nicer and recently renovated. The staff was extremely friendly, though not as bend-over-backwards attentive as they were at the Four Seasons (though we wouldn't expect them to be, given the price difference!). The hotel is in a great location and is a good deal at under $200 a night on Maui. Just ask for a renovated room if you make reservations there, and you should be happy.
