The hotel is beautifully nestled into the prestine setting of La Jolla. A perfect place for a getaway if you love to play golf and want to be close to the beach. (A 5 minute car ride). If you are in the mood for a little strolling and shopping, downtown la jolla is a 10 minute drive. I went to the hotel specifically for the spa, which I had read was very well rated. The spa facilities were beautiful appointed with a fresh clean feeling. I was hoping for a 'day spa' experience and was dispointed to learn that there was no indoor jacuzzi. (The pool outside is lovely, but it a far walk from the spa and it was a very cold day). My treatment, the A,C,E body treatment was expectional, but a friend had a massage she described as below average. If you are looking for a quick escape, with a fast spa treatment and a little golf this is an ideal hotel. If you are looking for a full service spa day while your honey is golfing, you may want to try some another near by facility.
