This place was built in 1929 and has been restored to its original look. It plays old movies and art flicks and is a wonderful place to go to see a movie, imagining the world of TV, lasers, and DVDs doesn't exist.
They are twinkling stars and puffy clouds floating across the ceiling, old time seats, the smell of popcorn, and of course sticky floors. Everything you need for the complete movie experience.
They publish a playbill of up and coming attractions which you can find around the 'hood or in the Reader.
A Chicago treasure.
