Good: It is a good value for the education, especially in L.A. I like the values they impart to our children and make kids adhere to.. Bad: I am a former graduate of the school who did not attend the elementary school. My daughter is there and while I appreciate that she is ahead of other kids her age, the emphasis placed on perfection in writing and the cliche analogies about what's good and bad, moral and immoral are at times inappropriate. She's 4, and my husband and I don't necessarily prescribe to all of that. We aren't as concerned with perfect numbers or letters, but rather that she understands alphabetical and mathematical concepts.. Improvements: While the decision about salvation is an important one, it is also a personal one. Parents and teachers are rearing these kids TOGETHER, and it is insensitive to have children choose between what they are taught at home and what they are taught at school. Granted, people can choose to send their kids elsewhere. Just know that's what you sign up for. As with all schools, you take the good with the less-good.. Other: Girls wearing skirts or not wearing skirts is a fruitless argument. Is it necessary? Not by any means. Just know that this is one of the (numerous) things that aren't tolerated or debated on the campus.
More importantly, whether you agree with the religious teachings they impart to your kids or the dress code policy or not, ultimately we parents are responsible for who our children turn out to be. Our children will take on what we parents impart..
