gave this a three star rating because that's supposed to mean "A-OK." By "A-OK," I mean I didn't walk out of the salon with a bad haircut, but boy, do they NOT give you the haircut you ask for, even when you go in with a picture of what you want!!!
The stylist I had for some reason, really really does not want to give me a layered haircut, all three times I was there. I have really straight Asian hair, and was told most of my life it's one of the easier hair to cut and style. I went to this stylist under a recommendation from a close friend. It's a woman, and let's keep her name disclosed because those who aren't happy will know who I'm referring to. The first time I went in, she refused to give me a lot of layers "because it's summer and it's very humid"; the second time I went in for a trim, I told her that I want layers again, and asked her to not cut below the chin, but she ended up NOT giving me the layers I asked for, AND she cut the hair above my chin, right below my ears!!! I hated my haircut for the next month. The last time I went in, I brought a picture, told her I didn't get the layers I wanted the last two times, and how much I hated she took the extra inches off. She looked at the picture and said she knows what to do, and I walked out the salon with a 1/2 inch trim, very little layers, and ABSOLUTELY NOT the haircut in the picture I brought in. It doesn't even look like I've had a haircut. Oh and you know what's worse? I came home and as I brushed, I found hair with split-ends, which I asked her to trim. In short, that was the third and LAST TIME I'll ever go back to that stylist and the salon. Congrats, you just lost three clients including me.
P.S.: Please do not lie just to say products. I asked her if my hair is unhealthy, and she said no, my hair is very healthy and doesn't need much product. After she blew dry it, she said my hair is dry and needs to use the things she put on my hair. I hate the smell of those things to begin with!
