I was worried when Hop-In remodeled, that they would lose their small-town comfy and friendly atmosphere. While some of that is definitely gone with the big gas station out front, the place is really as good as always.
The employees are friendly to a fault, the grocery selection is quite decent, and not unreasonably priced. Their selection of bottled soda is great -- and their fountain drinks are extra-rich, while being cheaper than most places. Their hot deli, however, is where they really shine. Stop in for some hot Jo-Jo's (bigger and crispier than anywhere else) and a hot made-to-order sandwich. You will not be sorry!
