Gia Nina's Pizzeria is located on a tiny two-store corner lot in a residential area of Woodbury. You wouldn't really think there would be a pizza place there, but there it stood in it's purple neon glory. The parking here is off-street, so sometimes you might have to circle around or walk a little. When you walk through the doors you're immediately in the dining room. The counter and kitchen are to your right and this is where to get your take-out. We chose to eat in and were seated in a matter of minutes. The take-out counter is very busy and this seems to be the place the locals come for a quick dinner. The tables were full of families and couples alike, the recipe for a very casual establishment. We ordered our beverages and perused the menu which was full of standard pizzeria fare. My husband decided on the Veal Parmigiana and I on the Eggplant Parm. I wasn't too fond of the eggplant. It's seemed a little mushy to me and the sauce was very non-descript. My husband seemed to like his, however. We saw that the pizzas were flying out the door. Next time we will try one of those as that may be the strong point of this restaurant. more
