The price tags on the clothing in Atlas may seem a bit high for used clothing, but they have one of the best selections in town for hipster-types. The cothing finds are carefully selected and thoughtfully organized by type and color. It makes the vintage experience much more pleasant for those of us who don't enjoy picking through random stacks at the Goodwill. They also have new merchandise from emerging designers in the front of the store that is worth a look.

I always leave the Ian branch downtown feeling annoyed. They have a fine selection of jeans and a fairly run-of-the-mill selection of tops, but the storefront is so tiny that everything is all smooshed together and alsmost impossible to navigate. AND, I swear to god they only carry size 24 and 25 jeans. What the is that? This is SEATTLE.

The Cyclops has a nice urban atmosphere - cool decor, funky and relaxed. The food was good, better than expected. (I love pulled pork and theirs lived up to my standards!) However, the service was so bad that it was funny. Last night our waitress seemed highly irritated to be working; after we waited for what seemed an awfully long time she literally threw our menus onto the table, took her sweet time getting us drinks, slammed them and condiments down and totally lacked politeness.

If you can stand the fact that everyone here is cooler than you, it's a great bar. Drinks/pitchers are reasonably priced and the waitstaff are friendly and move as quickly as the possibly can when the bar is packed on a Friday night. You can ever get wasted here and go back for a greasy breakfast the next morning.

Some of my girlfriends and I went here on a lark once and I have never been mroe bored in my entire life. The place was full of LA type girls with fake tans and fake boobs or overweight Seattlites in black tops and Seven jeans being hot on be skanky men in striped shirts. Ridiculously overpriced drinks didn't help the environment either.

The George & Dragon is a very Seattle-casual pub where tapered pants and North Face vests abound, BUT, it is so laid-back that no one really cares. The pithers are well-priced, the food is filling and rich and they have the best Trivia Night around. If I lived in Fremont, I would probably be a regular here.

My advice: do not go there on a Saturday night. Also, do not go there if you don't want to pay 7 dollars for a well drink. I will say this: the bar itself is aesthetically pleasing. I am a little surprised at the stairway to heaven one must ascend to get in the door, though. We're talking many, many steps on a 90 degree angle. I imagine many a drunken tart in stiletto heels has taken a nasty spill down those steps, which, on second thought, would be kind of funny. Other than that, the place is well-decorated (okay, besides the white Jetson's chairs, which managed to be both ugly *and* uncomfortable at the same time) and the bar staff is attractive and only slightly rude. I wish I could say the same for the clientele, which consisted almost solely of (badly) aging hipsters, overweight office women and fat frat guys with their skinny arm-girlfriends--you know, the kind who spends the entire night clinging to the fleshy elbow of her boyfriend and looking down at the floor? I'm like, I don't need geishas in here, okay? Go cover your mouth and giggle somewhere else and take your borderline abusive linebacker with you.
Also, my 7 dollar drink was totally watered down. Oh, and they served beer in wine glasses. Why would thay do that?

I used to love going to Shorty's when I partied in Belltown a lot. It was always a great place to end the evening--generally not crowded, cheap beer, good service AND, you have the benefits of getting a Danger Dog without having to walk down to the Frontier Room or stand in the long Meat Market line.
