I'm a big fan of small, local micro-breweries. When I tried Carolina Brewery shortly after my arrival in Chapel Hill, I had really high hopes. While the food was quite delicious, I must say the beers weren't as good as I'd hoped. Part of the problem, I am sure, is North Carolina's stupid beer law concerning alcohol percentage (no beer over 6% can be brewed or sold in NC!). I'm really looking forward to the new beers that will be available around here once that law is changed!
