Red Pearl is a Chinese grocery and restaurant combined. The grocery has all the standard fresh fish swimming around in tanks, eels if that's what you like, dried items and manufactured and packaged foods from Korea, Japan, China. The range of vegetables, fish, etc is pretty much unique in Northern Alabama. I met people from Nigeria shopping there because it was the closest to the kind of food they could get at home.
Note that there's an attached restaurant which serves very inexpensive,very spicy and quite unique Chinese food, i.e. nothing like the generic Sweet&Sour pork you would find at most Chinese restaurants in the middle of Alabama. This is a good place for shopping and for take-out food.
