My husband and I were in New York for the weekend, ready to take some pictures, because we never take pictures... So, of course we remembered the camera, but we just forgot the only other equally important piece. The battery. We went to Camera Land around the corner from our hotel. The guy that helped us not only sold us his one charged battery for free instead of snaking a fee out of us, but he gave us some solid advice about where to eat and not to eat in the area. Great New York business with good old fashion customer service.
