best bookstore in town next to bookshop santa cruz in downtown santa cruz. capitola book cafe, not surprisingly, is in capitola, not far from the capitola mall. they also have a large cafe with excellent pasteries and coffee, as well as other treats. they have a big children's section and often have reading hours for kids on the weekends. large bookstore with tall ceilings and a great collection of books. helpful and friendly staff.
