I've been going to 1400 Downtown for about two years (they recently switched their name from Burns to match their Grandview location). They are on the corner of High and Gay, right next to the Arby's on High Street.
If you work downtown there is no better place to get a man's haircut. If you care about atmosphere the place is stylish and very clean. They have a nice pool table for passing the time if you arrive early for an appointment - I've never waited more than 5 minutes after a scheduled appointment time. Tons of magazines and a nice plasma TV on the wall as well. Cool OSU and other sports memorabilia and they just put in a massive fish tank, almost makes you feel like you're in an aquarium :)
The stylists are all professional and do exactly what you ask. They take their time with you and you never feel rushed out of the place. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a haircut.
