M V Keipler Plumbing did an outstanding job responding to and replacing our hot water heater in the Poconos. The tank, which they had previously installed 8 years ago (2 years after its warrantee period), failed on a Sunday evening. We called and left a message and they returned the call 15 minutes after they opened on Monday morning, a much faster response than we expected. Within an hour and a half they had an experienced plumber at our cabin with an exact replacement water heater in the truck that would fit in the crawl space. He checked out the problem in about 10 minutes and started pulling the new heater under the house shortly after that. While doing that he noticed that the water pressure tank from the well wasn’t working properly and said he would check that out after replacing the hot water tank. It really surprised us that with all the work he had to do he finished replacing the hot water heater within an hour and a half. The work he did was excellent. Then he checked out the water pressure tank and found that it had lost its air pressure which was causing the well pump to work too hard. He took a compressor under the house and pumped it back up and told me how to check it in about two weeks which could keep the wheel pump from going bad. If the pressure tank is bad he explained how much cheaper it is to replace it instead of getting a new well pump. Finally before he left we had him check out our toilet which was running too long. A quick adjustment there and he was done in 5 minutes. Then if that wasn’t enough on Friday afternoon we lost all water pressure. We called Keipler again explained the problem to Rachel and she was able to have Chuck the owner come and check out that problem an hour later. Turned out to be a bad relay in the water pump caused by what we believe was a lightning strike very close to the house. He had the relay fixed in about 15 minutes. While the hot water work was going on I had contacted Sears to get an estimate for the hot water heater and learned that the one they had which was smaller than the one installed would have been a more expensive job than the final bill we received a few days later from Keipler which we were able to pay for using our credit card. We are very pleased with the customer service we received.
