I've been here twice because I check a box at the UPS store in the same shopping center. The first time it was busy near the holidays at lunch and I was not impressed with the odd menu or the taste/quality of food. I went back thinking I'd try something else and walked away with the same thoughts. When you walk in and order at the counter the staff is friendly enough but the menu is just odd. What do they do there exactly?? There are burgers, tacos, dips...it's just a little bit of anything that can be cooked on a grill. The beef fajita tacos were cold, the meat was cut too large and it was so tough. I had to add salt and lots of hot sauce to flavor them. I was probably not very appealing to customers as I gnawed away at my taco like a cow pulling hay off a bale. I finally gave up and just ate a few strips of meat. I tried the Katie dip this time and it was pretty yummy except they add guac to hot queso and taco meat...? Their salsa is horrible. It's like pureed tomatoes. The cups are SMALL for drinks. To get through a meal you probably need at least one refill. Their rice is okay though. My boyfriend thinks their chicken sandwiches are amazing. (I don't tell him but he has BAD taste in food...I've confirmed this several times in our relationship.) I'd say skip Skeeters and visit Taco Bueno on 242, Taco Bell or Taco Cabana if you're looking for cheap mexican food. Otherwise, hit up a burger place. Oh and when I went the first time the guy at the register did let an inappropriate word slip. I was glad my kids weren't with me or I'd have had a Texas sized mama hissy F I T! more
