Never again 3/26/2012

We picked up our cat from the kennel and within a few hours she was in a diabetic coma and we had to rush her to the vet. She crashed again a few hours later as we transferred her to an emergency facility for care overnight. We thought we'd lost her. One vet told us that she might have been given too much insulin that day at the kennel. Both Jodi and Lindsay were contacted and they indicated that they didn't think that was the case and that maybe she hadn't eaten enough. We'll never know for sure, but we almost lost our beloved pet and now have a $1500 vet bill. Also, for the 2nd time they dropped Fay's insulin and broke the bottle. The grooming has generally been a problem. Someone can't read the notes. At some point, someone put in that we only wanted :15 of grooming so she wasn't being brushed adequately. We told them to take as much time as was needed, but still only :15 and although the problem areas of her chest and stomach were addressed. Her other areas weren't. Our bill is NEVER correct. This time we were charged an extra $1.25 per day for an extra feeding which should have been included in our med fee. Lindsay said she would credit us, but so far it hasn't appeared on our credit card statement. We have also had problems in the past at the Page Ave. facility. We picked Fay up one morning and she had no food in her cage even though we had asked that dry food always be there. She's diabetic and needs to eat when she wants to. We stopped taking her to that location and we now won’t be taking her to St. Peters or any Kennelwood franchise. more
