Cypresswood Golf Club is Poorly Managed Golf Facility! 3/27/2012

Played this facility's two golf courses recently and was very disappointed with the condition of the golf courses and lack of amenities. Clubhouse was very outdated with cafeteria style eating area. Customer service skills was lacking in the staff. Not very friendly staff for recreational facility. Golf carts were terrible. Cart broke down in the middle of my round. Had to carry my own clubs until new cart was brought out. Golf staff informed me that this cart problem has been going on for long time. You figure management would correct the issue but management has not provided any solutions for their bad cart problem. Putting greens were very inconsistent and slow, not to mention bumpy! I played well but course conditions were lacking for the green fee prices we paid. I am a 4 handicap and shot 74. Bunkers on the Tradition courses were terrible. Rocks and pebbles is many of the bunkers. There were no bathroom facilities on either the Cypress or Tradition Courses. If you have to go to the bathroom bring some toilet paper and plan on using the woods. I am an avid golfer and will not be back to play this facility until conditions, service and ammenities improve. Our overall golf experience was definitely not worth the value. Much prefer to play other courses like Panther Trails in The Woodlands, Woodforest in Montgomery, or Augusta Pines in Spring, TX. It is not a surprise that Cypresswood's courses are declining and slipping in the golf rankings. more
