I've used Jacobs shoe repair several times over the years without incident. I went in the shop a few weeks ago to have a pair of sandals repaired. Simple glue job on the sole. They charged me $5 and the shoemaker smiled as he gave me the sandals and said that their work was GUARENTEED! The second time I wore them the glue job came apart. I took them in today and they said that they would be $10 to repair. I told them that their repair held up for only two wearings and they should stand by their work. What about that GUARENTEE. They then said that they had never worked on the sandals and that I was essentially a liar. That I was making the whole thing up. About this time they stopped speaking English and began speaking Spanish while they walked away and ignored me. I was stunned. As I was leaving with the sandals one of the men said, in English, ""We'll fix them for $8. WARNING!!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!\r
