We took our daughter to Kobe New Tampa for her 18th birthday. She had been before at the Dale Mabry location and loved the experience. New Tampa is closer so we decided to go there. \r

That was my first mistake. We had reservations and arrived about 10 mins early however we had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated. \r

Once seated they began to serve the soup. The waiter spilled hot soup all over my daughter and I guess in embarrasment he left the room. Not one employee came to ask my daughter if she was ok or needed napkins. My daughter was embarassed and burnt at this point. The soup reuined her outfit and her blackberry bold that she got for her birthday that day. Mind you our service is through Verizon and I used my upgrade to get the phone. When we confronted the manager she said there is nothing she can do other than have us fill out an incident report. At this point I was unwilling to fill out anything. You could have came to our table and asked her if she was ok or offered up some napkins at least. \r

I contacted the district manager and explained the situation. I also told him I know people make mistakes and I don't want to be over compensated however I am going to ask that they pay the fee for replacing the phone. Keep in mind a bold cost hundreds of dollars. I am not an unreasonable person and told him I did not want that much money just pay the insurance cost of getting the phone replaced. $95.00 He agreed to that and said he would put a check in the mail. Well it has been over a month and nothing! He lied to get me off the phone basicly. \r

Now let's talk about the bill.\r
For some reason the separated the kids checks from ours and brought us ours first. I used my debit card and added in a 10.00 tip. Why did I tip? Well because I am not unreasonable I know accidents happen and this kid was young. So then they brought our the kids check after they took ours away and included the tip for the entire party. So when it was all said and done an awlful experience lead us to a tip of over $20.00, reunied phone, lies and poor management. I will NEVER dine at any Kobe again!
