In Nov 2010 two weeks before Thanks Giving, I rented a truck and the gas tank was only 1 3/4 full. I was instructed by the worker in the front desk that I don't need to provide any paper work with the key that I will drop off after hour tonight because everything is in the system already. I took the pic of the gas tank gauge before I drove the truck away on the day that I rented the truck. I returned the truck with the same amount of gasoline 1 3/4 full in the gas tank and drop off the key in the designated area at 11pm. Before I drop off the key, I also took the pic of the gas tank gauge. A day later, I found that U-Haul charged me $38 gasoline charge. I called the manager immediately to find out what was happen. The manager Mr. Grey said that it is impossible that I drove 50 miles without spending $38 on gas therefore he is charging me $38. Mr. Grey accused me that I am a lair that the gas tank gauge wasn?t at 1 3/4 and I am not one of his white people according to my last name. He said he didn't accept any form of pic to indicate the original gasoline gauge of the truck when I pick up the truck and the final gasoline gauge of the truck when I return the truck after hour. I complained to the customer department of his wrong doing business practice and will file a lawsuit against U-Haul for discrimination. I tried to call him and stop by that U-Haul location several times after my work but he was unwilling to see me and took off early at 4:00pm. I called to my credit card company to seek for resolution. My credit card company is more than happy to help me in this case by requesting pic that I took to against U-Haul if U-Haul fails to credit $38 to me. 5 business days later, I finally able to catch the manager Mr. Grey on the phone again. This racist manager finally unwillingly refunds my $38 gasoline charge. Be aware of the business practice of this U-Haul location if your last name is not derives from white people ethnicity. The manager will eat you alive in terms of extra charges to your credit card.
