The complaints about cost are likely unfounded. You can't compare what would happen if a child went into the ER vs a dog/cat. Most people have health insurance. And if they don't, the cost still gets swallowed up by tax payers. If you have ever had to seek medical help with no insurance, I'm sure you are aware of the level of care you receive... it's not good..
