Houston's least professional... 7/28/2011

Houston Euro Collision was recommended to me by another reputable auto shop. I also took the time to read all the reviews and decided I would take my car to Houston Euro to get front bumper work done. Boy was that the worst decision ever! These guys kept delaying on my car and came up with excuses after excuses. First, they received the wrong parts causing another week's delay. Then, an employee accidently scratched the bumper while putting it back on and so they had to repaint it resulting in another week's delay. Each promised delivery date came and went with yet another excuse. After almost a month and more out-of-pocket money spent on rental car than cost of repairs, Houston Euro agreed to repaint my rear bumper at no cost as compensation for all the delays (and lies?) Ok, that' better nothing, right? Wrong!! They screwed up on the rear bumper multiple times as well - they told me they had to fire the employee that messed up the paint job on my car and so it was going to be another few days!. After more than a month in their incompetent hands, my car was deliverd late Saturday afternoon and they hadn't bothered to wash the exterior even though it was very dirty as it had rained the day before. It was obvious someone had a picnic in my car as I found french fries and pickle under my seats, a huge greasy thumb print on my rear-view mirror, and ketchup/grease stains all over the interior controls, steering wheel and dashboard! The foreman told me to bring it back to the shop the following Saturday for a full detail, but when I called in to confirm an appointment, he simply said he was too busy and would call me back to schedule at a different time....and that was the last I heard from him. Oh, the first day I received my car I noticed the ambient temperature was reading 150F so I brought my car in to shop and they found that Houston Euro had placed a tape over the whole that allows air to flow to the temperature sensor causing the sensor to read engine temperature instead of ambient air. Did I already mention incompetent in this review?!? While all this was happening I tried to get the owner's contact information but the foreman refused to provide. I also requested the owner to call me but never heard from him/her. Obviously the owner has no interest in how his/her business is doing. If you read this review and still decide to take your car to Houston Euro Collision (including all the dealerships that outsource body work to these guys), be prepared for the worst experience of your life! These guys get 1 star from me only becuase a rating is required to post this review, otherwise I'd give them 5 negative stars if there's such a thing!! more
