I have been buying VW's from Rod east since 1999. I have seen some of the negative comments about the service department. I will tell you that the Service Dept. at Rod East has changed. They get your car in and out as fast as they can and they are up front with you on the costs before they start. They do a good job. Go to the other SA VW dealer's part's dept. ands ask for something more than oil filters and spark plugs. Chances are high that they don't have them, but they will get them for you, they don't tell you but they usually get them from Rod East. Rod East VW has changed for the much better. The other VW dealer is out to sell as many cars as quickly as possible. They don't really know VW's at all. Their bread and butter is Chevy's, and all of their other brand dealerships, are just a sideline for the $. Can't blame them for that.
