It is all true! All the bad things, that is. Especially the gas bill charges. We have been getting bills from a questionable company called ISTA, charging us ridiculous gas charges. Apparently ISTA has a contract with the owners of the complex and they team up to rip-off residents. They even include ISTA in the lease. Be careful when signing leases. We weren't and now we're learning the hard way.
We can hear our neighbors doing the do because the walls are so thin. The floors also creak so much that we can't check on our sleeping newborn without him jumping and waking up. One day I smelled smoke so strong that I thought the house was on fire. After 2 months of living here our bathroom door wouldn't close, our shower rod broke, our shower head stopped working, our toilet upstairs started leaking and our toilet downstairs wouldn't flush.
The people who say they like it here need to raise their standards. As for us, 6 months down, 6 months to go.
