I financed a motorcycle from On The Border Motorcycle Sales on July 29, 2010. It was financed through their company and not through an outside organization. Every payment was made on time. It was paid off January 5th, 2011. I did not receive the plates for this motorcycle within 30 days of purchase as legally required, and have still not received them 8 months later. I had to go in and request new paper tags with every payment, and every month since paying it off. Since paying it off in January, and paying tax, title, and license fees, I have not received the title or the plates. Owner of shop insists that he does not have to give me the title or license plates within 30 days of final payment. He also refuses to give me a date for when I should expect these items. Since the vehicle has been paid off, I have a right to them. Owner was combative with me when I came to the shop to discuss these matters with the woman who handles billing. His position seemed to be that he'll give me these things when he gets around to it, and since I'm no longer coming in to make payments, I have no business being in his shop.
