NOt just a one time thing, I went in for the Japanese first, and a gentleman was nice, harried, but nice ... I assumed he didn't usu serve. The portions were nice and the food was good.
Every time I've gone back since (at least 5 now), it's been a negative experience. The one waitress is just outrageously rude and miserable. The other people are nice, but the wait is way too long for take out. One time there was another man there that waited his entire lunch hour ... he said he won't be coming back either.
I kept going back because I really love Japanese. Then I remembered Shogun in the Manoa shopping center. The food is just as good, the service is way more professional, much quicker and much less expensive!!!
