PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS DR IT MAY COST YOU YOUR LIFE\r \r I'm writing a lot so you will have to look under ""comments"" on this post to read everything.\r \r I had my rhionplasty performed by Dr. Motoki in January of 2010. I generally liked the appearance of my nose except for some crookedness from an injury I had suffered a few years back. I was supposed to have some modifications in that area but mostly leave the shape of the rest of my nose the same. I visited Dr. Motoki's office three times before having the surgery, making sure all bases were covered and we were clear about what was to be done. Everyone at that point was very nice and accomodating.\r \r After scheduling the surgery I questioned the Dr. about why they weren't doing any pre-op blood work. He just looked at me and said there was no need for it because I was healthy. Looking back now that should have been the first sign that things weren't right. Being a vet tech I know I hear the Dr. at the vet clinic say daily, ""There is no way to know what is going on on the inside by how they look on the outside. That is why we have labs."" It is pretty sad that a dog or cat is required to have bloodwork before anestesia but a human isn't. I see that as Dr. Motoki's general lack of concern for the wellbeing of his patients.\r The morning of the procedure I showed up as scheduled, was weighed and waited for Dr. Motoki to make his appearance. He came in briefly and I again wanted to make sure he and I were on the same page as far as what was going to be done. He basically was somewhat arrogant and assured me he knew what we were shooting for. He performed the rhinoplasty and they sent me home. \r All that night I vomitted. The entire next day I vomitted. I was running a fever, couldn't drink, could barely walk... I was bad off. Dr. Motoki's office never even called to check up on me. Finally after I was coming in and out of consciousness and vomitted blood until I just dry heaved I text my husband to come and get me because something was wrong. \r He called Dr. Motoki's office. Immediately they were defensive. They instructed him to not take me to the ER, to bring me there and they would just give me fluids IV. By the time my husband got home to get me I was nearly unconcious and having convulsions. I don't remember anything. I had actually urinated all over myself as he carried me down the stairs to the truck. Needless to say he took me to the ER. There they put me on fluids and administered anti-seizure meds and nausia meds IV. Along with antibiotics since I couldn't keep any of the oral ones down. I was admitted to the hospital and would stay there for four days. I didn't even come to until the 3rd day. \r \r \r more
