I have been dancing for years and have recently returned to dancing on pointe. The shoes I used to wear are no longer made. I had called and made an appointment for a pointe shoe fitting well in advance.\r When I arrived in the store (which is well stocked and the two sales ladies behind the counter, one young one older were very friendly) my first impression was good. \r That quickly changed when the pointe shoes fitter came out. She did not greet me or smile and looked somewhere between bored and annoyed that someone my age (I'm in my late 40's) should bother her.\r She looked at my feet, handed me some toe pads and brought out one pair of shoes which I tried on. My first comment was: these are too big (I could put two fingers down the back of the shoe). Well they look good on your foot, was her comment. I said they do not feel right, I do not like them. She stalked off to the store room and brought out a smaller size. They were okay but something did not feel right about them.\r I aske more
