Horrible waste of money 7/27/2010

When visiting Myrtle Beach some friends highly recommended Inlet Crab House. Being from New Orleans, we just love seafood and looked forward to great food! We were SADLY mistaken. One July 21, 2010, we went with a party of ten (4 adults, 6 kids). Having eaten out several times together, we expect a longer wait due to the size of our party...but the wait was rather short. \r First we had asked to be seated in a large table outside, but were told no on was being seated outside for the rest of the night (which again was untrue...as people were seated outside 30 mins after our party). Ok, no problem, we got two separate booths for kids/adults and promptly placed our order. It was somewhat crowded with people dining but not overwhelmingly so.\r We inquired about our food order 30 minutes after it was placed, and was told it would 'be right out'. Forty-five minutes later, the same response to our inquiry.\r Meanwhile new patrons have been seated around us and ordered AND served, while we waited. This was very frustrating to watch.\r Around an hour later our food arrived, well most of it.\r One child did not receive their order. Which eventually only half was brought out.\r Now on to the food. Terrible!!! \r I personally ordered the fried softshell crabs, which came on a plate - nothing else! Not one condiment, or even presented on a piece of lettuce - nothing!\r The taste was nothing to be excited about it was just breaded.\r Others in our party complained of flavorless or bland food and overcooked hush puppies. Presentation was non-existent and serving sizes were rather small.\r Nearing the end of our meal, we politely asked the waitress to see the manager. At first she made excuses and seemed to refuse our request. Then said the manager was on the phone and would be over soon. I kid you not....20 minutes later a person showed up that did NOT appear to be a manager either in dress, authority, or experience.\r This person upon hearing our complaints and we were upfront that we were not looking for any free food, but just to voice our disappointment in hopes they might improve in the future....began to ARGUE with us and make excuses and practically blame us because we were a big party and they were busy. When inquiring about the outside seating the 'manager' said the hostess doesn't know where to seat people...WHAT? That is what a hostess DOES!!!\r I was appalled! In any instance where I've had a complaint, the manager is usually extremely appologetic and willing to understand the customer.\r Needless to say I would never eat at this place again.\r In total we spent about $250 after the so-called manager insisted on giving us 10% off our order. Pros: Relatively short wait Cons: Terrible food - horrible service more
