While I have no complaints AT ALL for Dr Farren, this past visit was not a good experience with the hygenist. When she was reviewing my chart she made a personal comment about my medication - drawing attention to my no longer using birth control and asking if I was trying to get pregnant which I thought was nosy and unprofessional. Even though she said she was teasing her comment was inappropriate for a doctor's office. Additionally, she was very rough and painful with her cleaning, to the point where she poked my gums several times to the point of bleeding. She tried to tell me that this was due to gingivitis, however I had no problems with bleeding gums prior to my visit?? And after I left I inspected my gums and saw EXACTLY where she had punctured the area that bled. (There was a considerable amount of blood and pain for the next few hours.) Afterwards, Dr Farren examined me and she made no comment about any gingivitis, which even more supports that I do not think this was a correct diagnosis on the hygenist's part. Finally, before I was about to leave, the hygenist insisted on me getting an x-ray, since I am 2 years since my last. At the time I was unable to afford this, so I told her I would make a call at some point to schedule and she continued to push me to schedule it that day. I understand the urgency however it was very impolite to continue to press me when I had already said no. I do not know the hygenist's name only that she works on Tuesday at 4pm.
