I used these guys and had a terrible experience with them. My AC broke during a terrible heat wave in July of 2003. The system was under warranty. I called and asked for quick service due to the heat. Hottel couldn't make it out until a Saturday. They diagnosed the problem, said that they would have to order the part and it would take a week to have the repair completed. And they charged me $178 for coming out on a Saturday (30 minutes), which was dictated by their inability to come to my home during the week! I was furious and cancelled the work. Found out my father had a maintenance contract with them and had him cancel it. Instead, we found a dealer (No-Frost) in Ellicott City, MD that came out immediately, found the part right away and fixed my problem same day. No-Frost even sent me a "thank you" note for allowing them to service us! Now that my unit is nearing the replacement stage, I know who to contact and it isn't Harvey Hottel.
