I used to come to Backer's as a little girl and have always had fond memories but have lived out of town for years. I came to visit Backer's Bakery for out of pure nostalgia but popped into the art gallery next store first- when I came out, I was met by Mrs. Backer herself, yelling that I was parked in HER parking lot- well I am HER customer! Or WAS, at least. It makes me sad because I held Backer's in such high regard, but I will NEVER visit there again.
