This bar is notorious for disgusting bathrooms, bad food, roaches, and bad service, and it's been that way for years. I've forgiven them for all that because the place is so close to where I live, but when you claim to be an Irish bar, you can't hire a DJ who spends the entire night of St. Patrick's on the microphone complaining that people asked him to play Dropkick Murphy's and going on and on about how he thinks Irish music sucks. I forgave Finnegan's for everything else, but allowing that sacrilege on St. Patrick's makes them the fakest excuse for a pub I've ever seen. If you really want a fun time, hit the Playwright or Waxy O'Connor's - they're across the street from each other on Washington and 13th. They're not exactly the real deal either, but at least there's no roaches and they know how to party.
