Beware of high repair prices! 3/31/2010

I don't think I've ever written a review for any place before, but, honestly, since I left this place this afternoon, I've become more and more aggravated at the repair price this ""Sasha Jewelry"" lady charged me, so I want to share it with you. \r \r The first thing I'll say is that I did not ask her what the charge would be before I had the work done...so in the end...it is all my fault.\r \r I've got a very inexpensive watch I wear to work and I really like it. It's a ""Coleman"" work watch and probably cost me about $20 bucks at Target. The other day, a pin fell out of it and the watchband slid off my wrist onto the ground.\r On my way home from work today, I stopped at this jewelry store, as it is near my home. No customers were in there and I was waited on very quickly. I asked if she could replace the pin and she said she could. She turned around to the rear counter, pulled out the appropriate pin and replaced it all in about 30 seconds certainly not over a minute. Naturally, she also commented that my watchband had a tear in it and would I like to replace it while I was there. This is just doing business, and I stated ""No...not right now, I just need the pin replaced"". She then handed me the ""repaired"" watch and I asked, ""How much?"" \r \r I almost dropped my jaw on the counter when she said $5.00. I""ve had pins replaced several times over the last 30 or 40 years, and I would say most jewlers never even charged me a cent. Heck, I've even done it by myself many times. \r \r I just think this is taking advantage of people and wanted you to be forewarned. Pros: Great Location, no customers, fast service Cons: Unbelievable Rip Off Repair Prices more
