I bought a Groupon in hopes of finding a new stylist. I was paired with a very nice but very young, seemingly inexperienced girl. (She often painfully caught my ear with her comb and nearly burned me twice with the blowdryer.) I didn't feel that she was a good listener and didn't use her/my time effectively. (I am a very busy mom and she spent well over 30 minutes styling my hair.) Additionally, she was over-booked and it showed. While conditioning my hair for ""just a couple of minutes"" she spent over 20 minutes styling someone else. (Meanwhile, I have a head of cold, wet hair and am shivering.) The atmosphere was somehow bright *and* dingy and the music was awful - not in the least bit relaxing. While I think owner at Flick Hair Studio is well-intentioned I felt less like I was in a high-end, Aveda concept hair salon than an average haircutting place like Great Clips or Supercuts. I was happy that I had the Groupon since I only got what I paid for. I would have been severely disappointed if I had to pay full price. The neighborhood needs stuff like this so I hope this place makes it. Perhaps they change their biz model, offer cheaper cuts and services to go with the look and feel of the place and stylists. Pros: easy parking, Aveda products, courteous receptionist Cons: inexperienced stylist, less than average atmosphere more
