The sales staff is not at all knowledgeable about the details of delivery and assembly of furniture. I recently bought a table at Laytners, having been promised a scheduled delivery and assembly for an additional $95 fee. The item in question was not delivered by appointment, but simply left outside my door. The manager at the store initially denied that anything had been improperly handled, then offered an assembly date two weeks later, finally offering to send a handyman to perform the agreed-upon assembly. The handyman, however, did not keep the appointment, so I am still waiting for this work to be completed. Buyer beware. Or better yet, buyer, take your business to a store that delivers what it promises.
