Dreadful 10/21/2010

I discovered a negative mark on my credit from Aurora Collection Bureau. When I called to speak with them about it, as it was the first time I had heard anything regarding the debt, the individual, Courtney Quinn, was exceptionally rude and condescending. She tried to insist that they had mailed me many notices and implied that I was lying about not receiving them. When I asked for the address she had been sending them too, she gave me an old address. I informed her of this, and she stated, ""Well the post office would have forwarded the mail."" The address she gave me was over a year old. She continuously cut me off and was patronizing and again condescending to me when I tried to explain to her the debt didn't make sense. She even continued to be rude when I offered to give her my current address so she could send me the information on the account. The letter I finally received from them told me nothing about the debt they said I owed and the letter that she had sent, signed be her, also was misleading and wrong in what it stated the Collection Regulations were. In reading the reviews of this company online, I noticed that ""HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL"" is the same individual to comment positively on this agency. I believe this person to be from the company itself and agree that any reviews by this person are spam. I also checked the Colorado Collection Agency Board, and although they have not revoked their license, they annotate having taken negative actions against the company. Terrible place. more
