I think all that can be said about how Alante was before the owner switch has been said, but let me say, the new change is a welcomed one and a definite upgrade. I went back to Alante after vowing to never go back after I had a baaad haircut, and I was pleasantly surprised about how incredibly nice and polite the new owner is! She definitely knows how to style and cut hair, and even though my hair was just a bit too short for the new style I wanted, she was able to work with what I had and make it look exactly how I wanted in the picture. Also, the prices have been slashed in half. I went from paying around 55 for a bad haircut and mediocre service to a great haircut for only 25, including a wash. Alante is on the drag, so being primarily a student locale, the new prices are definitely a plus and student-friendly. I've seen some reviews saying this is an ""asian"" place, but I can't say that's true. Sure there are asian clients, I mean a big chunk of UT IS asian, but when I was there there was a mix of people coming in, and it definitely wasn't ""asian-only."" This isn't the Alante from before, and new Alante is a much better, friendlier, cheaper place to get your haircut than it ever was before. All the changes the new owner has made have been great changes, and Alante is headed in a great direction.
Pros: cheap prices, great haircut, friendly & polite service
Cons: I really can't think of any!
