The title is pretty self-explanatory. I met the salon owner with concerns of growing brotherlocks. She relayed to me that my hair was too short to begin the locking process, and she recommended other looks in the meantime. She charged me for the style that she did in my hair (and she used horrible gel that started to turn yellow after a few days).....AND THE CONSULTATION CHARGE FOR A SERVICE THAT I WAS UNABLE TO GET! Yes...she charged a consultation charge on top of the styling charge...and she didn't have any other appointments that afternoon! I could've contested to the $92 charge, but I took into consideration that maybe she needed the money to stay open in hard times, considering the economy, and the fact that it's a Black owned business...and I love giving back to my community.
