UN-ethical Business Activity- Classic Toyota 8/8/2009

An immediately family member attempted to purchase a second vehicle from Classic Toyota while working with sales person Charles Weeder. The dealership agreed that if she put $500.00 down on a vehicle, it was completely refundable, should she decide not to puchase a particular make and model. After numerous broken promises covering a 2 1/2 month period, they postponed an ordered vehicle for another month and 1/2, essentially leaving her in a rental vehicle for 2+ months. She verified that she would get her money back and purchased a vehicle from their competition. Now the Classic Toyota holds the money hostage, refusing to return it for at first an unspecified time. Note: they cashed her check at the first of July 2009. It's now August 9, 2009. They now state that they cannot return her cash for another 10 days (kind of as a punishment for not purchasing from them). We will NEVER purchase a vehicle form Classic Toyota in the future and strongly warn others of thier business practices. Manager Charles White knows of what is going on, and refuses to intervene. Don't believe any promises made by this dealership. Potential Buyers beware! Management and the Ownership has not returned calls to date. Cons: Unethical business practices, deceitful, transations more
